How to Control Holiday Weight Gain in 2019 ?

 

Worst weight gain occurs between Thanksgiving and New Year’s.

How can we control holiday weight gain?

Intermittent Fasting may suppress harmful holiday weight gain which usually continues during the next year.

There are 2 ways to do intermittent fasting:

Eating normally for 5 days and then 2 days of consuming only 730 calories which consists of 5-6 Merey shakes or 2-3 Zypro shakes. No other food is allowed.

Have an early dinner and do not eat anything afterwards, not even a breath mint.

To avoid dehydration, do not drink anything but water.

Try to fast at least 13 to 16 hours before the next day breakfast.

This fast is easiest as 8 hours are already spent sleeping.

It is also beneficial to take a walk after dinner to allow the food to be digested and to prevent going to bed on a full stomach.

The morning breakfast does not need to be eaten unless you are hungry.

Buffets are a big hindrance for holiday weight loss. One gets carried away by the variety of food and overeats. We feel that it is a holiday. Therefore all food and drink is permissible! most heart attacks occur during the holiday season. Your body and especially your arteries do not know  that it is a holiday.

In addition you do not have to eat everything that has been put on your plate. You have to be selective. You are not a garbage can! Use your conversational skills rather than your filling your body with pure junk.

Be aware of desserts! They are the kiss of death! Sugar is the root of all diseases! Substitute desserts with fruit. Eat the fruit from the Thanksgiving pies and do not eat the crust. The same goes with gravy and stuffing. We do not need them . Have the turkey plain.
