Most treatments require multiple shots. 12.2 billion of botox doses were administered during those 25 years. It was used first for eyelid spasms and then cosmetic uses skyrocketed. Botox became the facial wrinkle smoother par excellence. Botox has FDA approved uses: it works for crossed eyes, severe neck spasms, severe underarm sweating, chronic migraine reduction and prevention, overactive bladder and to treat upper and lower limb spasticity. There are off label uses of Botox: it helps with severely cold hands, lockjaw, back pain, scars, painful sex, depression, premature ejaculation, Parkinson’s disease symptoms, anal fissures, drooling and teeth grinding.
