Foods that Produce GERD:
Some people have problems with certain foods while others do not.
Keep a diary of the foods that cause acid reflux. Food sensitivities are another solution to detecting those foods that may cause GERD.
Some people get pain from acidic foods like lemonade or orange juice.
Chocolate, caffeine containing beverages and peppermint may cause reflux also.
High fat foods seem to worsen problems and reducing fatty foods may improve symptoms.
Carbonated beverages worsen symptons as well.

Oils:
Olive oil results in healthier hearts, bones and a longer lifespan as seen in the Meditrranean diert, Do not use high temperature.
Avocado and almond oils can be cooked at high temperatures.
Coconut oil may be not as bad as it was thought. It is ideal for simmering sauces or baking
Linoleic acid found in grapeseed oil but not in olive oil can lower insulin resistance, inflammation and improve lean body mass.
Canola and corn oils were found to be detrimental.
Do not consume cottonseed oil (contains pesticides) and partially hydrogenated oils which contain trans fats. Trans fats are unhealthy.
