Botox is one brand name of a diluted version of Botulinum extract that causes softening of small lines and can cause elevation or lowering of features depending on the muscles one tries to affect. There are 2 other neuro-modulators besides Botox: Dysport ad Xeomin. They all work similarly.
The first application for Botox was to soften the lines between the eyes or the elevens so hated by people. Then the crows feet on the sides the eyes were ironed out with these products. Neck spasms and migraine headaches are eliminated with Botox. Sweating of the under arms, forehead can be eliminated while even acne can be erased with a neuro-modulator. Today Botox is used to relax the bladder which is overactive, the esophagus of people who have difficulty swallowing. In brief there is no organ which cannot be helped with a neuromodulator injection.
